Bojonne Toet
Piano teacher at Pianolessen Utrecht
Bojonne (2000) is a versatile pianist, singer, and songwriter. From the age of 6 to 20, she took classical piano lessons from Ans van Vlijmen and has been accompanying herself on the piano while singing (mainly pop songs) for as long as she can remember. Since she was 16, she has been writing her own songs, which she taught herself to arrange on the piano. At 17, she completed a preparatory program in Musical Theatre at Codarts, and from 2020 to 2022, she studied Musician 3.0 at the Utrecht Conservatory, where she learned a great deal about improvisation.
Since 2022, Bojonne has been offering private piano lessons. For her, the enthusiasm of her students is the most important factor. She strives to find a good balance between challenge and enjoyment for each student. Music theory, posture, and technique are covered in a playful manner. Additionally, she encourages her students to explore as much as possible: she motivates them to listen to (piano) music, develop their own tastes, figure out songs sometimes by ear and sometimes using sheet music, write their own pieces, and improvise with her during lessons.
As a singer and pianist, Bojonne occasionally performs her own repertoire alongside her cellist, Merle. She also performs in nursing homes, playing classical piano pieces or leading sing-along concerts. As a high soprano in Dekoor Close Harmony, she has performed multiple times at venues such as TivoliVredenburg and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Lessons are offered in Dutch and English.
